Q Why is the script loaded asynchronously?
We load it with
asyncso that your site does not freeze even when the uchat servers are having problems or are blocked from your network. If it were loaded synchronously, your page could take longer to display while the uchat servers are not responding. That is why the JavaScript API is event-based. → Getting started with the API
Q I want to change the chat room size
The chat room follows the size of the
<u-chat>tag. Changewidthandheightin itsstyle. You can also set the size under Install code on the Manage page and generate the code again.<u-chat room='my-room' style="display:block; width:100%; height:70vh;"></u-chat>Q After turning on member integration, I see "Your token seems to have changed"
This message appears when the signature created by your site does not match.
- Check that the token and chat room ID in the install code belong to this chat room.
- Check that you signed the fields that have a value in name order, using the sample values in Member integration signature spec.
- If you see "Please reload the page", the connection data is older than the time sync reference. Reload the page, and if it keeps happening, click Member integration → Time reference → Reset.
See Member integration for details.
